Right place. Right time.

Say what you like about football and its domination of the television for the last few weeks, I have enjoyed the party atmosphere. Last night for example my daughter had a get together to watch the final, I found that I liked watching fit young men running around looking very fiery and competitive.

I don't know any of the rules but that doesn't get in the way of my enjoyment. Last night's showing of the red card to the captain of the French team was riveting, good grief if he had head butted any higher he would have knocked the other bloke out cold!
I saw the Rooney send off too, how unfair was that, and I don't think I am biased as I never support England, but for the first time in my entire life I was finding myself feeling sympathy for the team. Maybe I have been sucked in by the charismatic players, also one of my daughter's bumped into David Beckham in Manchester recently and he was very polite. Apparently, he was in a very famous shop and as Corrie and her friend walked past the shop Corrie asked someone standing peering in through the window what all the fuss was about. When she realised that all the commotion was because David Beckham was inside the shop she grabbed her friend and marched through the doorway bumping into David Beckham on the way in.
'Can I take your photograph?' she enquired, he smiled and consented. She looked around for her friend Esther but it had all proved too much for Esther she was hiding somewhere behind the underwear, not wanting to miss the moment she had to sacrifice being in the photograph with the England Captain. Mr. Beckham must be sick to the teeth of being asked for his photograph he could have been rude to my daughter instead he made a minute in his busy schedule to make my daughter's day. She proudly show all and sundry her photograph of the English Captain.
Riding on the wave of success, she found poor Gavin Henson down town enjoying himself in Bridgend, she pushed her cousin alongside him and ended up with numerous photographs of a confused cousin and an even more muddled Henson. He too consented but was bombarded with several flashes of the mobile, funny really because he looked more fed up as the photographs progressed.
