We couldn't believe how upset we were at giving away our thrift shop purchases...
We were proud of the money saving items that we had managed to find in the thrift shops across America. I became so attached to my sun chair I wouldn't let anyone else sit on it. The cool box was the business it kept the drinks and food cold for over 6 hours.
The high chair we had purchased for 6 dollars went to the maintenance man in the timeshare who had twin grand-daughters. We met one, they were kept apart because they fought a lot, they were only about 11 months old. He was lucky because we had to give away soft toys that wouldn't be accepted on the plane due to restrictions imposed through the terrorist threat.
The cool box went to a woman on reception in Niagara Falls she was going to use it as a spare for her boat, we left all the unused food in it, sugar tea... and my lovely chair went to an harassed lady on Crystal beach who was sitting on a towel surrounded by about 8 children. We gave her all the chairs and wondered would she take them home with her and look after them, I hope she did.
