Sweating it out in Florida

Having a wonderful time in Florida. We went to the Blue Springs yesterday...

It was absolutely beautiful...so many tourists miss the serenity of the Florida fresh water springs. We stopped for a subway sandwich put it in our 10 dollar cooler box that we picked up from the thrift shop added some soft drinks and beers and we were away. We hired goggles and a tube found the source of the clear water and floated down in the current. There was a rumour that two manatees were sunning themselves further down the river but we didn't catch sight of them.
Off to practice our baseball skills. Stood in front of a machine that fired balls at you really fast, it is a great feeling if you manage to hit one into the net. The woman had a baby squirrel in the office he reminded me of my little chihuahua back home, it was the first time I felt a little homesick.
Went to Big Lots it is an end of line shop that sells lots of bargains almost bought a multi coloured rain coat reduced from 120 dollars to 15 dollars but unfortunately it didn't fit me. Just as well I looked like a rainbow in it!
Off to Pleasure Island again as we paid an extra 5 dollars to have extra entry for 5 nights more. We have met some real characters there. Last night we met a young man, life and soul of the party he was, I asked him if he would like to go on 'date my sister' and he said with all due respect he would like to go on 'date my brother' My girls laughed and laughed I was the only one who had not realised he was a raging homosexual.
We danced the night away and at the end we were escorted off the premises by policemen one of whom was on one of those two wheel electric machines. I told my girls that I could ride one and they didn't believe me. I asked him if I could prove to my party that I could indeed work the machine, next minute he was off up the street as fast as he could go, I had the feeling he was trying to avoid me.
Jet skiing today. We went to the usual place, we have been going there for years and years. Unfortunately, Drew (who talks like Donald Duck) wasn't there anymore and the new owner had no idea what had happened to him. That made me feel quite sad as he had taught my kids to water ski and jet ski over the years.
Our new apartment hasn't got very good air conditioning and we are sweating like mad...it is very unpleasant. It looks like we are up for another move. I am thinking of calling the manager 'brother' as I have made so many complaints to him this holiday. The kids are threatening a strike and say they will not be moved but they know in their hearts when I get a bee in my bonnet I am like a terrier and if they don't fix the problem by Friday we will be out pretty sharpish.
Tonight I am babysitting for Casey my grand daughter as I want my son and daughter in law to go out and enjoy themselves. Casey and I will have to sweat it out together. Claire my neice has cooked us delicious meals today. Chicken curry for dinner, potato salad and pizza for tea. She has volunteered to cook all holiday I can't believe my luck. It is ladies drink for free tonight so I am expecting a lot of happy people coming through the door later on
