Living next door to a nun and the catholic church you would suppose that I would have a quiet sort of life, lots of hymn singing and such, so you would be surprised to hear what happened to my neighbour....
Apparently the catholic priest who lives next door but one went to Sainsburys to fill up with petrol and as he drove off he realised he had forgotten something he needed to take with him. He returned home to collect it and left his keys in his car, by the time he had returned the car had disappeared.
The police told him that he was probably targeted at the garage by crooks who liked the look of his car, they then tailed him home and when they saw their window of chance they jumped at it driving the car away in seconds.
The car park of the church is up a little lane, there is no way anyone would expect a car to be stolen from it, only certain members of the church are aware of the space behind the church. I am amazed at the lengths that thieves will go to these days, they must be very organised gangs. A worrying thought though is what if the priest hadn't forgotten something and had driven somewhere isolated, what would they have done under those circumstances?
