Well, it is 'Black Friday' this weekend, I mentioned that I was up for going out on 'Black Friday' and I was reprimanded and told I was not allowed to refer to it a 'Black Friday' anymore it had to be called 'Bleak Friday'
I don't know how I feel about being told what I am allowed to say, I realise it is not 'PC' to equate the word 'black' with negative thoughts or behaviour, but having had a think.....yep...I am going out on 'Black Friday'
Funny though Claire's partner Richard had never heard of the saying he thought it must be a Welsh celebration. Curious, I researched it a bit and I have come to the conclusion it has something to do with the accidents on the road at this time of year from people celebrating the end of their office working day.
All I know is it is better than going out on New Year's Eve. Office workers really know how to let their hair down and dress up in tinsle throwing caution and their knickers to the wind. I have had such a good belly laugh at the antics of people and met some funny characters and we are talking about 3 p.m. in the afternoon! By 9 p.m. most people are home safely tucked up in bed with smiles on their faces, well, I am anyway.
Any 50 (ish) fella's looking for love this Christmas?? Meet you in 'The Walkabout'
