Hair of the stray dog

I was getting everything organised for the New Year's Eve party, we needed extra's from the Spar so I sent my niece Lauren over to pick up a couple of things, we had already bought them out of scratch cards as we always buy £3 each in the hope we will become rich for the New Year, it wasn't to be though...

Lauren returned with a little white hairy friend who didn't smell very savoury. I told her to go back to Spar as his owner would probably be inside and would be looking for the little mite when he came out. The dog was obviously well cared for and had cost a few bob. Ten minutes later Lauren returned with the dog who we nick named 'Teddy Pom Pom' saying the beast had stood in the middle of the road and had no road sense at all!
I was all for turning him out and chancing him to fate as I was far too busy to bother about him but my other neice Claire said that if I did that there would be a squashed Teddy Pom Pom to deal with.
I rang the police and asked if anyone had reported a lost pedigree dog and left details, they told me to take him to the kennels. It was funny really as they wanted to know what sex he was. We all thought he was a girl because we couldn't see a willy it wasn't until he cocked his leg in the garden that we sussed he was a boy.
We had to drive to the kennels in Heol y Cyw, there they ran over his body with a machine to see if he was chipped, unfortunately, he wasn't. We left him there hoping his owner would turn up, or was he an unwanted Christmas present.
