Yankee Doodle Dandie

Those were the days, the black and white film, no swearing no foul language, one foot on the floor if a kiss was to be passed by the panel who scoured the films for unnessary sexy innuendo.....James Cagney..."I'm on top of the world mam"...anyway, I digress my neice Claire was highly delighted when she was successful in her bid to sell Yankee candles in her florist "The Bee Orchid"

"Oh, yes" I said, trying to hide my ignorance as I had never heard of them "Why are they so special?" Claire explained that people drive for miles to buy them because they have a very long life and have special fragrant essences that fill your home.
I couldn't wait to see these fancy candles, I mean what could be that exceptional about them. My brother's wife Clare purchased one straight away to support the shop and because they had a wedding coming up and they make an unusual wedding gift. They have gone one step further than ordinary candles they can be made into little attractive lamps.
Apparently once you have tried a Yankee candle there is no going back. I am still saving up my pennies to purchase one.
