I decided to deal with all mam's possessions that I have stacked floor to ceiling in my garage. Lots of cups and saucers, pots and pans, the usual every day things that we keep in our cupboards.
I am going to do the car boot sale in Stormy Down. Trouble is in my minds eye I can see me holding on to items....the poor customer is going to have to wrench things out of my hand and if I don't like the look of them I will price the article they are interested in stupidly.
It is so difficult selling precious knick knacks that have been around you all your life, they hold so many memories and the instant you see them you are a child again, reliving happy memories.
Some things gave me a giggle though. My mother and father used to visit the Ideal Home Exhibition every year and they would come back with wierd and wonderful inventions. In the corner of the pantry I uncovered this unusual and extraordinary item complete with its original instructions.
"Kitchencraft" Waterless Cooker. It looked like a pressure cooker but a bit more posh and claims to do everything even make toast!
