Spontaneous Decisions

Kicking my heels in the house at about 525 p.m. last night when the phone rang. "Do you fancy going down the beach for a barbeque, Martha is coming home with Scott tonight"

"Have we got any food" was my first question. "Well, I have a couple of sausages" came the helpful reply. I ran to my freezer and got out four of my butchers delicious home made beefburgers and some buns and sausages and placed them outside in the garden to defrost.
Within, two hours we were all sitting on Ogmore Beach, my new lodger Tara made a tasty summer salad, we packed the salad cream but forgot the butter. The sun was setting and the scenery was splendid.
After food we searched the beach for twigs to make a big fire. We sat there until 9 p.m. watching the flames and chilling out. I think some of our best family times have been off the cuff arrangements with no preparation.
