I have been going to the Glastonbury Festival for 15 years and I have never experienced such a wet one. It didn't dampen our enjoyment though. Every morning I would wake up to a cup of tea and bacon butty cooked by my brother.
Everyone would seek shelter in the caravan, they would all pile into my bed drinking their tea, strumming their guitars and noshing on bacon and sausage buns. We would wistfully look out of the window waiting for a sign of a break in the weather when it didn't look like it would change we would say 'sod it' don our waterproofs and off we would go. Of course my brother had brought his clogs instead of his wellies he ice skated his way around. Funnily enough though it was Clare his wife who fell over 3 times.

'Beef ' smiling, he smiled because he couldn't talk he had too much of a hang over. It has just occured to me that I don't know 'Beef''s real name....

He discarded his clogs in the end.

My brother Gareth declared himself 'God' and sat on top of one of the sacred stones. God consumed most of the beer up there that day.

A very muddy phone call...usually went like this..."where are you?....

A brief glimpse of the sun.

Abandoned tents, they were left in a good cause. They were to be relocated to help people suffering abroad.

Six in the morning in front of the Pyramid stage I thought "what are all those black bags?" but when I got closer I realised they were abandoned chairs!

Unfortunately, one of my daughters fell in the mud breaking a bone in her wrist and her arm she spent most of the time in hospital. I was devastated. Owing to that fact it wasn't the best Glastonbury I have ever experienced. Having said all that....I will be putting my name down as a steward next year and would recommend it to any nutters out there....
