The relief and love I felt arriving in Cairns airport to be met by my daughter and my nephew and his intended wife was immense. I was so happy I could have done a hop skip and a jump...
They drove me to our house that we have rented for the two weeks....it is on three levels with three bathrooms and toilets. I have my own veranda looking out over the sea. My brother Gareth has a whole floor to himself with his own veranda. My other brother Roger has the back bedroom and is kept awake from the noise of the pump to the swimming pool.
All the girls are downstairs in the basement, cwtched up nice and cosey. We have an unrestricted, magnificent view over the sea. We have our meals on the large veranda on a big wooden table, the wine flows, the conversation and laughter never stops.....

ps watch out for crocodiles ' i read in the paper (so it mst be true) that there are crocs in Cairns. Hnestly
