Well, it seems like all the rage over here. Having an early morning swim in our first hotel on the beautiful island of Fiji, ( it was early morning too 7. am) when I got talking to an American woman in the conversation she mentioned that she had just got married...
It was a little while later that she admitted to me that it had been an arranged marriage to help out a friend that wanted to get into America. They are going to buy a big house and he is going to live upstairs and she is going to live downstairs for about 2 years.
I was full of admiration for her and have decided that if I find someone who is desperate to come to Wales, I will marry them. I haven't told my children yet though.....
I am just recovering from the worse coach drive I have ever had in my life! It took 3 hours of bumping and grinding, my brother said "look at the little pink car in front of us Vick, it looks like it is tied together with string' the smile soon left his face when he realised we couldn't go fast enough to overtake the old banger! We would shudder up the hills, stop half way, select another gear and I swear I saw the driver pray that we would make it. Thankfully the scenery was interesting and sometimes amazing.
We passed through the village that we will be staying at with a family. I am quite concerned as the people there looked dreadfully poor, will we be intruding on their life style. Oh, well, it is too late now it is all booked. On the drive complete strangers were raising their two arms in the air and shouting greetings.
Best of all at the airport we were serenaded by a little group of men with guitars as we passed through immigration, that has never happened to me before. The people here are such happy individuals.

Ah yes...brings back memories. We went over to a wedding there some years ago (before I got too sick) & had a ball. Yes, every time you overtake a truckful or pass pedestrians you get the famous "(m)Bula!" cry from the locals.
