I left Fiji on 31st of August at 11 p.m. and arrived in Hawaii on 31st of August at 7.30 a.m. I couldn't believe it, I had already had a full day in Fiji and now I had the same day again, different country but how cool is that??
My hotel is overlooking the famous Waikiki beach the surfers are out there looking really cool and clever, I was excited at the prospect of leaning over my balcony and watching their skills but what am I looking at....a concrete wall! I couldn't believe it...I requested an upgrade but because it is 'Labour Day' this weekend they are fully booked out!
I have another problem the sea looks sensational but how am I going to go in without anyone on the beach to guard my stuff? If I lose the key to my safe in my room it is going to cost me 90 dollars, but where am I going to put it anyway!!
Having said all that the vibe here is great, the number of fit people walking around sun tanned and with attitude, swaggering their bodies with surfboards held high, they cross the roads into the town in their swim wear and only I seem to notice.
Oh, and whoever owns the retail outlet 'ABC' must be making a fortune they are dotted around every block, notice the use of the word block, I have been away from home too long...

Vicki, tie the key round you neck on a piece of string or buy one of those tubes you can put your money in, then hit those waves, dude!!
lol Trudie xx
I sorted it Trudie I just leave everything in the hotel and leave my key behind the desk! The beach is directly opposite the hotel! I can't believe I didn't think of it before.
