When I reached Hawaii, I became homesick. When they stuck me in a room with a balcony facing a wall, I started to talk to it like Shirley Valantine....
I mean I was in a hotel that overlooked the famous Waikiki Beach and what could I see... a white washed wall...

Across the road from my hotel was the famous beach. I stumbled upon a parade only because I asked a few people why they were sitting on the pavement. Some didn't know they were just copying everyone...

Every night they had a movie at sunset on the beach. Just before the movie started we were treated to live entertainment and competitions. A good family night out...

Flew into Los Angeles and by this time I was desperate to go home. Thought I would pay a visit to Rodeo Drive. Actually caught two buses to get there and arrived at 9.30 a.m. sat on the bench in the photograph and wondered where all the tourists were. Found out the shops didn't open until 10 a.m. This part of Rodeo Drive was supposed to be the home of the most exclusive shops.
