Stuck in Bahrain
Received an answerphone message from Martha stating that her flight to Thailand had been cancelled so that the Tour Operator had put them up in a lovely hotel in Bahrain.

Unexpected surprize
I swung open the door of the kitchen, the lights were off....there was an errie silence. Suddenly a face jumped out at me, it was Martha "Surprize...Surprize..mam" she shouted laughing. "Hang on a minute" I stammered "I am supposed to be saying that to you!"

Best kept secret of Cardiff Castle.
Took my friend Kadeeja to Cardiff Castle we decided to opt for the walk around the grounds instead of the guided tour. I was very impressed and pleased by the helpful people who worked in the castle.

Alarm Bells
Decided to pop into the toilet (as you do) when waiting for my daughter in Landough Hospital pulled what I thought was the flush (as you do) and realised as I was giving it a good tug that it was bright orange and had a red triangle on the end!

Two hundred and fifty pounds
I spent the morning underneath my van with an expert ( I think I will retrain as a mechanic as it was so interesting) I loved the fact that he had the initiative to ask me to join him to point out the faults, it was fascinating.

Muddled and Confused
I have made contact with the young lady I am to mentor....(I am part of a scheme run by Sova to help asylum seekers in Wales) it was a lively and easy conversation filled with laughter. We spent about 15 minutes trying to work out a location we could meet. I tried a few places I thought she would know but realised quickly that she wasn't familiar with Cardiff at all.
We decided to have a think for half an hour and ring back ....in the conversation she had mentioned dropping her children off from school so I suggested that I meet her at the school and that she gave me the telephone number of the school so that I could get directions.

Straight not bendy...
I took my new van to get the key sorted out, we held our breath when he tried it in the lock as if it did not fit it meant that I would have paid approximately £50 and the key would have had to have been thrown away...

The perfect photographs to advertise Australia...
Georgia was bored...look out when Georgia is bored as she usually comes up with something really imaginative which involves you zooming up to London at 1 a.m.....this time she thought of posting all the ignored bad photographs of the family in Australia. Well, I laughed and laughed we look so fed up and weary.....I imagined them being displayed in a brochure to encourage people to visit Australia....

Piano on the rebound
About 3 years ago I decided to sell my piano. It had cost me an arm and a leg to buy for my daughter quite a few years before and I expected that it would have lost some of its value but I wasn't prepared for the extreme drop in price...

Water, Water every where and not enough to drink...
Martha is off to Thailand soon so we jump at the opportunity to meet up whenever we can and as it happens everyone had a day off so we decided to celebrate with a nice meal out.
