The key to my....

Posted by Boudica on November 2, 2007 8:34 AM |

I found a lovely little white Citroen van and managed to get most of my gear into the back then what happened? The only key it has would not open the driver's door!

As it has just one key I went to the Citroen dealers and had a chat with them about having a copy made. It turns out that if I don't know the transponder code and the key number it is going to cost me £110 blinkin heck....also if in it's past history the van has had the locks changed and they don't correspond with the numbers on record for the van I am in big trouble as the key won't work!
The garage has agreed to change the lock on the drivers door but can't understand why I want two keys to the van they say that all second hand vans come with one key. I told them that my past history proves that I need two keys as I have more than once been stranded by completely losing the buggers!
We are in a key stand off!!!!

I've never heard of a vehicle coming with just one key. They are trying to pull the wool over your eyes, Vic. Whoever sold you this van should put it right or I'll come and sort them out!

the key to my car has broken and because it's got a chip in it, for the immobiliser, I've got to pay £144 for a new key! Rob dogs!

Oh, no, that is awful Trudie I can't believe that but it is exactly what worried me, the costs of keys is unbelievable
