Or on "tick" as my granny used to say....my old blue suite has seen better days. Samui had taken a fancy to peeing on the legs, the sun had faded the back of the chair, so I decided to buy a new one in the sales. Buy now pay later....

Suicides in the Bridgend Area
It is quite shocking to see the town you live in being thrust into the national news because of the fact that some of the young people who live in and around Bridgend have been committing suicide in large numbers.

Common Sense and MRI scans.
I was listening to an interview on the radio this morning, it was somewhere in Ireland, a dispute was going on between consultants and some sort of authority. I am not a genius but when the interviewer asked the consultant why MRI scans didn't work thoughout the night and the consultant answered saying patients needed to have their rest.....and no-one was available to operate the machine. I thought....

Another Stand off
I decided to drive home through town last night it was late and I had forgotten it was a Saturday night so when I was faced with a road block I had overshot the road they had made available as an exit by a couple of yards and had to reverse and with great difficulty I managed to get myself facing up the road on the wrong side. The taxi who had stuck to his side of the road behind me was, therefore, on the correct side of the road on my left and I was slap bang in the middle of the wrong side of the road.

Bombs Away
They are building a new Asda store behind my house, I am really looking forward to it opening because it is my favourite store. My daughter informed me last night that they had found 50 unexploded bombs on the site!

Stand Off.
We faced each other in the street he was in a white van I was in my Rover. He jumped out importantly, ear piece, parcel in his hand, completely ignoring the fact that he was blocking the road and that there was a perfectly good parking space a few yards further on up the road.

Asbestos
The house next door to me has been sold. I am upset because I knew the previous landlord and now I have a new one and he plans to fill the house with as many people as he can possibly cram into a terraced house.

The Noro Virus
The Noro Virus is hitting Wales in a big way. Claire my neice had to be rushed into hospital because she was very sick with it and they were worried about it affecting the baby in her womb and now Chris and his girlfriend (my lodgers) are down with it..
