Asbestos

The house next door to me has been sold. I am upset because I knew the previous landlord and now I have a new one and he plans to fill the house with as many people as he can possibly cram into a terraced house.

Well, that's the rumour and seeing that he owns the house two doors down...that was absolutely full of Polish people at one stage I assume he is planning the same strategy on this building.
At the moment I have met a foreign man knocking down the ancient garage that stood at the end of the garden, he was very polite and quiet looking. It worried me that the garage was made of asbestos, but it appears as long as he doesn't hammer it to bits and disposes of it carefully his health will not suffer.
Anyway I have my own strategy if they get rowdy next door, which they did in the other house...until the early hours of the morning...I will be ringing the landlord to make sure he is awake too! My other neighbour was far too polite to cause a fuss in the beginning but her patience soon snapped and she was forced to complain to the landlord.
If the new residents are anything like the quiet man knocking down the garage I should be alright though....might even go in and join the party....anyone know the Polish for "Be quiet!"

If they get ridiculously noisy at some unearthly hour of the night/morning yell over for them to “BE QUIET.” If they don’t understand that then offer them some English lessons, spruced up with etiquette lessons on how to conduct themselves with aplomb when living in Wales.

Okay
