Mother's Day

Posted by Boudica on March 2, 2008 10:20 PM |

I returned home today to find Corrie cooking up a lovely meal to celebrate Mother's day. Everyone was here apart from Martha who is bumming around Thailand with Scott.

I wish I was bumming around Thailand but I can't be greedy, I am off to Italy in a couple of weeks. I pointed out the fact to Richard, my son, that the painting he had done when he was three years old hanging on my wall could now be done by his daughter in a few months she will be three!
I remember I was so proud of it I entered it to be considered to be shown in the BBC weather forecast programme on the televison. They liked it so much they included it in their calender that year. I thought Richard would turn into another Picasso....

I returned home to find Georgia putting the finishing touches to her gift. She had dug my old shoe out of the cupboard under the stairs .....well, my excuse is...if you draw attention to your feet perhaps your huge body won't be noticed. I am going to hang this painting over the wall facing my computer. You just can't beat a homemade present.
