Family Curse

Posted by Boudica on April 20, 2008 9:46 PM |

I had quite forgotten about our family curse until visiting my neice last night I looked up and to my horror saw three flying ducks stuck up on her wall over her television. I gasped in shock...

It is a well known fact in our family history that no-one sticks flying birds up on the wall....it all started when my gran's husband got knocked down and killed by a bus on the Pengam crossroads. Shortly afterwards her son was killed in the colliery. For some reason my gran blamed the birds on her wall, she took them down and would never let anything resembling a bird cross her doorstep again.
My mother thought she was just plain silly and ignored my gran's plea to get rid of the birds on her living room wall....my father was then killed in a car accident. Down came the birds and again the ban was imposed on our house.
Claire obviously thinks it is a load of old tittle tattle......I hope for all our sakes it is. I really feel like sneaking in and getting rid of them, I will have to work out a plan...

Total bunk! Perhaps all the mysterious happenings were down to the fact that we all ate cheese. Or kept plants in the house... plants have feelings, too, you know! More likely is that it was just random chance not linked to anything at all! I'd put ducks or birds on my wall, no problem. Family curse, my elbow.

You would have to fight me first!

What about the Land Curse, not big and hard now then ?

Totally agree but we are trying to get rid of the land...because of the curse we haven't stuck it up on our wall!!!
