Shaun of the dead polling stations.

I arrived at my Spanish lesson in St. Athan today, walked past the toddler group, through the hall into the portocabin at the rear. I noticed that some of the students were missing but apparently they had been successful in gaining jobs as poll clerks.

"Is there an election today" I asked "Yes, it is May 1st, local elections" my teacher answered. The lesson went really quickly and it was soon time to pack away. As I walked back through the hall on my way out I nearly jumped out of my skin. The hall to my mind had been turned into a polling station during the time I had been in my lesson.
"When did you set up?" I queried "Six this morning" came the reply. "Were you here when I walked through?" I continued incredulously "Yes, we saw you pass" the woman confirmed "Didn't you see all the signs?" There in front of my eyes were big black signs directing people into the hall....how could I have missed all that! "I am so sorry" I explained "I really didn't notice any of it....I would have said 'hello' .... I imagined their faces as they saw a woman enter expecting me probably to ask for a vote, walk the entire hall without a word and disappear out of the other door.
Then I started to laugh as "Shaun of the dead" came into my mind, the part where the character pops out to get the paper and doesn't notice all the zombies in the street....that could have been ME!

You'd be no good in a police line up of usual suspects, then, would you! Poor observational skills there!
